About Juja St. Peters
Juja St. Peter’s School (JSPS) is a highly regarded Christian private school dedicated to providing a holistic education that raises all-round, productive citizens. Founded in the year 2000 by the late Mrs. Mary W. Mburu, the school began with humble beginnings—just 19 pupils across the primary and kindergarten sections—but was driven by a powerful vision to dedicate resources toward the betterment of society.
Christian Foundation and Guiding Philosophy
JSPS is located on a serene, expansive campus in Juja, Kiambu County, offering a safe and conducive environment for learning. The school is defined by its deep commitment to Christian living and the development of self-driven, morally upright individuals.
School Motto: Our guiding principle, “”Whatever is Excellent,”” is drawn from the book of Philippians 4:8, emphasizing the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of life.
Christian Living: We firmly ground all pupils in the biblical principles of hard work, honesty, and the fear of God, which are essential to developing sound character and integrity.
Holistic Preparation: Our mission is to promote academic excellence and provide early adolescents the opportunity to attain their individual, social, emotional, and physical potential.
Curriculum and Child-Centered Approach
JSPS has successfully integrated the best of the Kenyan educational system with a child-centered, experiential mode of content delivery.
Dual Curriculum: The school successfully implements the traditional 8-4-4 curriculum while seamlessly adopting and implementing the Competency-Based Education (CBE/CBC) curriculum in the lower grades. All teachers are well-trained to interpret the syllabus requirements and deliver seamless learning.
Experiential Learning: We invoke an experiential mode of content delivery to develop confident, curious minds. Pupils are encouraged to engage in practical sessions, project work, and community service as learning activities, fostering critical thinking and self-efficacy.
Talent Nurturing: Beyond academics, JSPS heavily invests in co-curricular programs to nurture the children’s talents and help them discover their uniqueness, ensuring they grow to make an impact with their contributions to the nation.
Juja St. Peter’s School is simply an experience a blend of Christian living, academic excellence, and great co-curricular programs that is unrivalled in the region.
