About Nova Pioneer Tatu City Boys
Nova Pioneer Academy is a rapidly expanding, Pan-African independent school network dedicated to developing generations of innovators and leaders who will shape the African Century. The network, co-founded by Chinezi Chijioke, Christopher Khaemba, and Damany Gibbs, launched its first school in South Africa in 2014, with the first Kenyan school opening in 2015. Nova Pioneer stands as a launchpad where ambitious young Africans can begin to shape a better future for the continent.
A 21st-Century Learning Approach
Nova Pioneer is committed to providing world-class education with an emphasis on 21st Century Skills, preparing students not just to work in the future, but to create it.
Inquiry-Based Learning: We employ an innovative, student-centered, inquiry-based learning approach. Students are challenged to think aloud, question everything, and co-create knowledge with teachers, rather than simply receiving it.
Curriculum Pathways: Nova Pioneer offers flexibility through the Kenya National Curriculum (CBC/CBE) and, at certain campuses, the Cambridge Curriculum (up to Year 8). In Senior School, we offer all three Competency-Based Education (CBE) Pathways: STEM, Social Sciences, and Arts & Sports Science.
Culture-First Ethos: The community is defined by six core Culture Principles (High Expectations, Always Growing, Servant Leadership, Joy of Learning, Greater Together, and Solutions First), which cultivate resilient, ethical, and collaborative leaders.
Digital Integration: The institution leverages educational technology, including Google Classrooms and digital tools, to enhance collaboration, organize assignments, and build essential digital literacy skills for the modern world.
Multiple Campuses Across Kenya
Nova Pioneer operates a network of schools across multiple campuses, including day, weekly, and full boarding options to suit family needs:
Nairobi Area: Campuses are located in Tatu City (Kiambu County) and Athi River.
Western Kenya: Campuses in Eldoret offer both Boys and Girls Secondary Schools.
Nova Pioneer delivers a distinctive educational experience with a strong instructional leadership culture and extensive beyond-the-classroom programs, including robotics, film, and a dedicated Post School Success Programme to guide university and career placements.
